How the Foundation Can Help Your Student(s)
Families that register their grocery store cards and/or participate in the gift card (scrip) program earn credit to be used for school expenses. To receive credit, upon registering with the grocery stores, turn in your student(s) information to our table or e-mail us at whsscrip@hotmail.com. Relatives and friends can register too, but e-mail us with their information so we can connect their credit to your student. The grocery stores only give us the supporters' names. Without the student information we have no way to connect you to your student(s).
Interested In Volunteering for the Foundation?
Please come to our meetings on the second Monday of every month (except December) at 6pm in the WHS Library. We have members who are retiring from the Foundation and we need your help to keep this foundation going. If you are not able to make a meeting, please contact us at whsscrip@hotmail.com and we will get back to you.
Mission Statement
The purpose of the Scholarship Foundation is to recognize students for their academic achievements and to provide college scholarships for deserving seniors. This is accomplished by:
- Honoring students at Student-of-the-Month presentations throughout the school year;
- Recognizing outstanding seniors in each academic department at the Student-of-the-Year presentations in May; and
- Awarding scholarships to seniors students planning to attend college, university or trade school.
